In an empty dressing room, two men play with movement, an analog radio and tiny shorts. The athletic bodies of Luciano Rosso and Alfonso Baron move fluently from rings to dance, acrobatics to physical comedy in an irresistible distortion of expectations of masculinity. A raw, playful and fun hour, interspersed with competition and camaraderie, seduction and sabotage, showcasing the best of Argentine contemporary dance.

“A highly sensual show, with unyielding energy and teasing humor.”

Poyo Rojo began in 2008 with the creation of a variety show at the Centro Cultural Laboratorio in Buenos Aires with the performers Luciano Rosso and Nicolas Poggi. This duet mixed impressive contemporary partnership work with duo sequences and after the first success was performed on many other stages of the city of Buenos Aires, such as the Ciudad Cultural Konex, the Teatro del Perro, the Teatro Martinelli and the Cirque del Aire. With the full-length version of the piece in 2010, they were invited by the Spanish network of alternative theaters to Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Since then, the piece has toured the world with Alfonso Baron and Luciano Rosso, delighting the audience!
