With “Peter and the Wolf”, the well-known musical fairy tale by Sergei Prokofiev, Tanztheater Erfurt presents a play by children for children. None other than the well-known television presenter Juri Tetzlaff narrates the old children’s music classic about the little boy Peter, who lives with his grumpy grandfather in rural Russia, in an exciting and entertaining way. Always on his guard against the dangerous wolf, Peter forgets to close the garden gate one day. The duck promptly escapes to the nearby pond and encounters a bird, with whom it gets into a fight. Warned by Peter, the bird flees to a tree to escape from a cat sneaking up on it. Suddenly, the dreaded wolf emerges from the forest and the story takes its exciting course.
