“Garantie abgelaufen” reflects a moving topic: getting old. In our society, ageing is often associated with fears that even affect young people.
Artists from several generations approach the topic in a serious but also humorous way, thus taking away its threatening side. Personal life stories, socio-political issues and the artistic interaction between young and old sharpen our view of the value of individual phases of life. Tragic fates of “ageing” are movingly tracked down, while the viewer primarily perceives the positive sides of the second half of life.
Once again, “Garantie abgelaufen” is a plea for the appreciation and promotion of the impressive resources of older people.
