B.A.N.G. is a possible title, a hypothetical crime thriller without resolution, a real and surreal interweaving of movements, dance images, texts and fragments in which the audience is a kind of witness to what is happening (or “not happening”).
The plot: a murder for love as a metaphor for the search for the unclear boundaries of the body. The victim, the perpetrator and the detective – Lara Martelli, the Italian dancer and choreographer from Berlin, embodies all three characters in her solo dance performance: the male, the female and her own character, the detective. She can be seen in one role and in the other, acting in real-material and virtual-antimaterial space. The structure of the piece is based on a sophisticated linking and networking of dance, video and text language, in which the boundaries between authenticity and fiction, performative and real events become blurred.
